Under new leadership, NYU Press has refreshed its mission statement to emphasize its deep connection to the broader NYU community and its ongoing commitment to publishing in the humanities and social sciences. Rooted in tradition but designed for the future, the new logo I created embodies NYU Press’s vision while honoring its scholarly legacy. By uniting the established brand equity of NYU Press with the wider recognition of NYU, the design strengthens a cohesive identity across audiences and platforms. At its core, the Washington Square Arch—an enduring symbol of New York City—has been reimagined in a modern, timeless form that ensures lasting relevance across both print and digital media.
